Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on city parks, playgrounds, and athletic facilities
- Operate heavy equipment (mowers, tractors, sweepers) for landscape and street maintenance
- Conduct minor repairs on public structures and amenities
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and municipal safety protocols
- Respond to citizen service requests regarding public spaces
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams during community events
- Complete daily equipment inspections and maintenance logs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Texas Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) preferred
- Minimum 1 year experience in groundskeeping or equipment operation
- Certification in OSHA safety standards or willingness to obtain
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in outdoor weather conditions
- Basic mechanical aptitude for equipment troubleshooting
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
