Responsibilities
- Maintain park grounds including mowing, pruning, irrigation systems, and landscape management
- Operate and maintain park equipment (e.g., tractors, mowers, hand tools)
- Assist with facility setup/teardown for community events and recreational programs
- Perform routine inspections and report maintenance needs or safety hazards
- Support seasonal park beautification projects and special events
- Ensure compliance with city regulations, safety protocols, and environmental standards
- Provide courteous assistance to park visitors and address inquiries professionally
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Texas Class C Driver's License with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks in outdoor conditions
- Basic knowledge of grounds maintenance equipment and safety procedures
- Experience with landscaping, irrigation systems, or park operations preferred
- Strong work ethic with punctuality and reliability in all weather conditions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
