Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repair of city streets, sidewalks, and public infrastructure.
- Operate heavy machinery and light trucks for snow removal, debris collection, and landscaping.
- Respond to emergency service requests and urgent repairs during inclement weather.
- Inspect municipal facilities to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement city improvement projects.
- Maintain accurate logs and reports regarding work completed and materials used.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Driver’s License (Class C) with a clean driving record.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting 50+ lbs, standing for extended periods, and operating heavy equipment.
- Experience in public works, landscaping, or general maintenance is highly preferred.
- Strong commitment to public service and community safety.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
