Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repair of municipal infrastructure, including roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems.
- Operate and maintain heavy equipment and tools safely and efficiently.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests and service complaints from the public with urgency and professionalism.
- Conduct inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with city codes and regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement infrastructure improvement projects.
- Prepare accurate daily logs, reports, and material inventory records.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Valid California Class C Driver’s License and a satisfactory driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in public works, construction, or general maintenance.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions.
- Familiarity with Los Angeles City codes and municipal procedures is a plus.
