Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of public streets, parks, and facilities using heavy machinery and hand tools.
- Operate and maintain municipal vehicles, including dump trucks, street sweepers, and utility vehicles, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols.
- Respond to and resolve citizen inquiries and service requests regarding sanitation and infrastructure maintenance.
- Assist in snow removal and ice control operations during adverse weather conditions to ensure public safety.
- Collect and properly dispose of solid waste, recyclables, and bulky items according to municipal guidelines.
- Conduct inspections of public property to identify potential hazards or maintenance needs.
- Collaborate with a diverse team of professionals to achieve city-wide operational goals.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; vocational training in a related field is a plus.
- A valid Nevada Class C Driverβs License with a clean driving record is mandatory.
- Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods, including lifting, bending, and standing in various weather conditions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to follow complex instructions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with the public and colleagues.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime during peak seasons.
- Basic knowledge of safety regulations and equipment operation is preferred.
