Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, repair, and installation of water, sewer, and gas lines and infrastructure.
- Operate heavy machinery, including backhoes, excavators, and trenchers, safely and efficiently.
- Inspect municipal utility systems to identify defects, blockages, or safety hazards.
- Respond to emergency service calls and outages during inclement weather conditions.
- Collaborate with engineering teams and contractors to execute infrastructure improvement projects.
- Adhere strictly to OSHA safety regulations and City policies at all times.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Valid Oklahoma Class C Driverβs License with a good driving record.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting 50+ lbs, digging, and working in confined spaces.
- Experience with basic plumbing, welding, or heavy equipment operation is a strong plus.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
