Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance of public parks, sidewalks, and recreational facilities
- Operate municipal equipment (snow plows, mowers, utility vehicles) safely and efficiently
- Respond to public service requests regarding infrastructure issues
- Conduct daily inspections of assigned areas for safety hazards
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams for city-wide projects
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
- Adhere to all OSHA and city safety regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid Maryland driver's license with clean record
- Minimum 1 year experience in maintenance, construction, or related field
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and equipment operation
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Must pass background check and drug screening
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred
