Responsibilities
- Perform daily maintenance of city parks, streets, and public facilities
- Operate heavy machinery including trucks, tractors, and snow removal equipment
- Assist in emergency response during weather events and natural disasters
- Conduct routine inspections and report infrastructure issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on community improvement projects
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Support special events setup and public gatherings
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Indiana driver's license with clean record
- Ability to obtain commercial driver's license (CDL) within 6 months
- Physical ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in all weather conditions
- Basic mechanical knowledge for equipment operation
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Previous municipal or public works experience preferred
