Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and repair of public infrastructure, parks, and facilities.
- Inspect municipal properties to ensure compliance with safety and aesthetic standards.
- Operate heavy and light equipment, including trucks, forklifts, and power tools.
- Respond to service requests and work orders from the public and internal departments.
- Ensure strict adherence to all city safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
- Collaborate effectively with supervisors and fellow team members on ongoing projects.
- Assist in emergency response situations and severe weather preparations as needed.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid California Class C Driver's License and a clean driving record.
- Physical ability to perform heavy manual labor in various weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of tools, machinery, and construction or maintenance procedures.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Experience in public works or general labor is preferred but not mandatory.
- Pass a background check and pre-employment physical.
