Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance of public parks, streets, and recreational facilities
- Operate heavy machinery and specialized equipment safely and efficiently
- Respond to emergency weather events (snow removal, storm cleanup)
- Assist in construction and repair projects including roadwork and sidewalk repairs
- Conduct daily site inspections and submit detailed maintenance reports
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate public service initiatives
- Ensure compliance with municipal safety regulations and environmental standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Kentucky driver's license with clean record
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred (training provided)
- Experience operating heavy equipment (backhoes, dump trucks, etc.)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Basic computer proficiency for reporting systems
- Must pass background check and drug screening
