Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on city infrastructure including sidewalks, parks, and public buildings
- Operate and maintain specialized equipment such as mowers, trimmers, and snow removal machinery
- Conduct daily inspections of assigned areas to identify safety hazards and maintenance needs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for coordinated public works projects
- Ensure compliance with all OSHA safety protocols and municipal regulations
- Document work activities using digital reporting systems and maintain accurate records
- Respond to emergency situations including storm damage and public safety concerns
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid Kentucky Driver's License with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year of experience in maintenance, construction, or related field
- Ability to operate heavy machinery and power tools safely
- Physical capability to lift 50+ pounds and perform outdoor work in all weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of municipal infrastructure maintenance practices
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Must pass background check and drug screening
