Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on public infrastructure, including roads, sidewalks, and parks.
- Inspect construction sites to ensure strict compliance with city codes and safety regulations.
- Operate heavy machinery and light vehicles safely and efficiently in various environments.
- Assist in flood control maintenance and storm drain cleaning during inclement weather events.
- Respond to service requests from the public with a focus on customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
- Maintain accurate logs and reports of daily work performed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid California Class C Driver’s License and a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
- Basic knowledge of construction or maintenance equipment is preferred but not required.
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
