Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance and repair of city streets, sidewalks, and public infrastructure.
- Operate heavy and light equipment safely and efficiently for landscaping, snow removal, or waste management.
- Respond to emergency service requests and citizen inquiries regarding public services.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal safety regulations and protocols.
- Inspect work sites to ensure quality standards are met before finalizing tasks.
- Collaborate with other municipal departments to coordinate large-scale community projects.
- Maintain a clean and organized work vehicle and personal work area.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid Arizona Class C Driver’s License with a good driving record.
- Physical ability to perform strenuous labor, including lifting 50+ lbs and working in various weather conditions.
- Previous experience in public works, landscaping, or construction is preferred but not required.
- Ability to pass a post-offer physical examination and background check.
- Strong commitment to customer service and community stewardship.
- Basic computer skills for logging work orders and reporting.
