Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain city vehicles and equipment (e.g., trucks, mowers, sweepers)
- Perform routine maintenance on public facilities, parks, and green spaces
- Respond to emergency weather events (snow, flooding, storms)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and municipal safety protocols
- Document work activities and maintain equipment logs
- Provide excellent customer service to residents and businesses
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification preferred
- Valid Texas Class C driver's license with clean record
- Minimum 2 years equipment operation or maintenance experience
- OSHA 10-hour certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic computer literacy for reporting systems
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Texas residency required within 90 days of hire
