Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on city streets, sidewalks, and public facilities
- Operate heavy machinery including asphalt rollers, dump trucks, and trenchers safely
- Implement erosion control measures and stormwater management protocols
- Collaborate with engineering teams on infrastructure improvement projects
- Conduct daily site inspections and submit detailed maintenance reports
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, Cal/OSHA, and municipal safety regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid California Class C driver's license with clean record
- 2+ years experience in public works, construction, or related field
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in varied weather conditions
- Proficiency with basic hand/power tools and diagnostic equipment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
