Responsibilities
- Maintain Infrastructure: Perform routine maintenance and repair of city streets, sidewalks, and public spaces to ensure safety and accessibility.
- Operate Equipment: Safely operate heavy machinery, including backhoes, dump trucks, and pavement breakers, following all safety protocols.
- Inspect Work Sites: Conduct visual inspections of construction and maintenance projects to ensure compliance with city codes and regulations.
- Respond to Service Calls: Answer and respond to citizen inquiries and service requests regarding infrastructure and public utilities in a timely manner.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and organize construction materials and tools at job sites.
- Site Cleanup: Maintain a clean and safe work environment by removing debris and securing job sites after completion.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Experience: Previous experience in construction, landscaping, public works, or general labor is preferred.
- Driver's License: Valid Oklahoma Class C Driver's License required.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Skills: Basic knowledge of hand and power tools, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Background: Must pass a post-offer background check and drug screening.
