Responsibilities
- Operate light/heavy machinery for infrastructure maintenance (e.g., street repairs, park upkeep)
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance of public facilities
- Assist in emergency response during severe weather events
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on city improvement projects
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and municipal safety protocols
- Document work activities and maintain equipment logs
- Support community events and public engagement initiatives
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- Valid Missouri driver's license (Class B preferred)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in all weather conditions
- Basic mechanical aptitude or willingness to learn equipment operation
- Strong commitment to public service and community values
- Pass pre-employment background check and physical examination
- Willingness to work flexible shifts including weekends/holidays
