Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on city infrastructure including roads, parks, and public facilities
- Operate heavy machinery and specialized equipment safely and efficiently
- Respond to emergency public works situations with urgency and professionalism
- Conduct inspections and report maintenance needs to supervisors
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate projects
- Adhere to all federal, state, and municipal safety regulations
- Provide excellent customer service to Fort Worth residents
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Texas Class C Driver's License with clean record
- Minimum 1 year experience in public works or related field
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred (training provided)
- Ability to operate heavy machinery (training available)
- Strong physical stamina and ability to work in all weather conditions
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Basic computer literacy for reporting systems
