Responsibilities
- Perform daily maintenance of public parks, streets, and facilities
- Operate heavy machinery and specialized equipment safely
- Respond to citizen service requests within SLA timeframe
- Conduct routine inspections and report infrastructure issues
- Assist in emergency response operations during severe weather
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on community projects
- Adhere strictly to OSHA and municipal safety protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License
- Minimum 2 years in public works or related field
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification
- Ability to lift 75 pounds and work in extreme weather
- Proficient in GIS mapping and municipal software
- Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
- Must pass background check and pre-employment physical
