Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on public infrastructure (roads, sidewalks, parks)
- Operate and maintain city equipment (trucks, machinery, hand tools)
- Assist in emergency response and disaster recovery operations
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and municipal safety standards
- Document work activities and maintain equipment logs
- Collaborate with cross-functional city departments
- Participate in community outreach and public service initiatives
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Arizona driver's license (Class B preferred)
- Minimum 2 years maintenance/construction experience
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in extreme weather conditions
- Certification in heavy equipment operation (or willingness to obtain)
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Basic knowledge of municipal infrastructure systems
