Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair city infrastructure including roads, sidewalks, and public facilities
- Operate heavy equipment (tractors, mowers, sweepers) safely and efficiently
- Perform seasonal tasks like snow removal, landscaping, and storm cleanup
- Conduct routine inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on public improvement projects
- Adhere strictly to OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Provide excellent customer service to community members during field operations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 2 years experience in construction, maintenance, or related field
- Valid Tennessee driver's license with clean record
- Certification in heavy equipment operation preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in all weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of municipal infrastructure systems
