Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain city vehicles, heavy machinery, and specialized equipment
- Perform public infrastructure maintenance including roads, parks, and drainage systems
- Execute landscaping and beautification projects across Phoenix neighborhoods
- Respond to emergency weather-related public service requests
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards and municipal regulations
- Document work activities using digital reporting systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for coordinated public service delivery
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
- Valid Arizona Driver's License with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year experience in construction, landscaping, or public works
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to operate heavy machinery (certification training provided)
- Physical ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic computer skills for digital reporting systems
- U.S. citizenship or legal authorization to work in the United States
