Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance of parks, streets, and municipal facilities
- Operate light equipment (e.g., mowers, trimmers, sweepers) safely and efficiently
- Respond to urgent public works requests and weather-related emergencies
- Conduct waste collection and recycling services across assigned zones
- Assist in infrastructure repair projects and traffic control operations
- Document work activities and maintain equipment logs
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on community improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid California Class C Driver's License with clean record
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of landscaping/maintenance equipment operation
- Strong commitment to workplace safety protocols
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with residents
- Previous municipal or public sector experience preferred
