Job Overview:
As the primary point of contact for Miami residents, you will manage incoming calls, dispatch emergency services, and provide community assistance. This position requires reliability, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently during the night shift.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and respond to emergency and non-emergency calls via the 311 system during designated night shifts.
- Log detailed incident reports into the Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) system accurately and efficiently.
- Dispatch appropriate police, fire, and medical units to resolve incidents.
- Assist residents with inquiries regarding city services, permits, and non-emergency assistance.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all departmental policies and protocols.
- Perform shift handovers and report any system anomalies to the day shift supervisor.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a call center, customer service, or emergency services environment.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is highly preferred.
- Must be available to work rotating night shifts, holidays, and weekends.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and computer navigation.
- Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions under pressure.
