Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce facility security protocols during overnight hours
- Conduct regular perimeter checks and surveillance to prevent security breaches
- Respond to emergencies and incidents according to established procedures
- Prepare detailed incident reports and maintain accurate documentation
- Coordinate with law enforcement agencies during critical situations
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and departmental regulations
- Provide direct supervision during inmate movement and medical emergencies
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Minimum 21 years of age at time of appointment
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass federal background check
- Successful completion of physical fitness assessment
- Basic first aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- No felony convictions and clean employment history
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
