Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce facility regulations during overnight shifts
- Conduct regular security rounds and perimeter checks
- Respond to emergencies, incidents, and medical situations
- Complete detailed incident reports and documentation
- Screen visitors and incoming packages according to protocols
- Operate security systems including CCTV and access control
- Assist in inmate movement and transportation as needed
- Collaborate with day shift staff for seamless operations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Ohio driver's license
- No felony convictions (background check required)
- Ability to pass physical fitness assessment
- Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation skills
- Ability to work independently during overnight hours
- Basic computer literacy for report writing
- First Aid/CPR certification preferred
