Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with accuracy and compassion
- Dispatch police units and emergency services using CAD/RMS systems
- Maintain detailed records of communications and incident reports
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Provide critical information to officers in the field
- Operate radio, telephone, and computer equipment efficiently
- Remain calm and professional during high-stress situations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM
- Basic computer literacy and data entry skills
- Exceptional verbal communication and listening abilities
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Valid North Carolina driver's license
- No felony convictions or serious misdemeanors
