Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce facility regulations 24/7
- Conduct security patrols and headcounts during overnight hours
- Respond to emergencies and de-escalate conflicts professionally
- Maintain accurate incident reports and documentation
- Screen visitors and control access points
- Collaborate with medical and mental health staff
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Minnesota Peace Officer license or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Pass background check and physical fitness assessment
- Strong conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work rotating night shifts independently
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred
