Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce facility rules during overnight shifts
- Conduct regular security patrols and headcounts to maintain order
- Respond to emergencies and incidents following established protocols
- Document all incidents and maintain accurate shift reports
- Screen visitors and packages according to department policies
- Operate security systems and control room equipment
- Collaborate with day-shift staff for seamless operations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Texas driver's license
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Physical fitness to handle security duties (including restraint techniques)
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work independently during overnight hours
