Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce facility rules to maintain security
- Conduct regular patrols and inspections of correctional premises
- Respond to emergencies, incidents, and behavioral disturbances
- Document daily activities and incident reports with precision
- Transport inmates between facilities and court appearances
- Collaborate with healthcare staff for inmate medical needs
- Operate security systems including surveillance equipment
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Indiana driver's license
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Physical fitness to handle restraining procedures
- Basic computer literacy for report documentation
- Strong conflict resolution and communication skills
- Must be 21 years of age or older
