Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce facility regulations during night shift operations
- Conduct regular security patrols and headcounts to maintain institutional safety
- Respond to emergencies and incidents with de-escalation techniques as needed
- Document all incidents, observations, and security breaches in compliance with department protocols
- Operate security systems including surveillance equipment and access control points
- Collaborate with day shift personnel for seamless transition of information
- Participate in mandatory training programs to maintain certification standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid California Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) certification
