Responsibilities
- Monitor facility security and conduct regular perimeter checks during night hours
- Supervise inmate activities and enforce institutional rules and regulations
- Respond to emergencies and incidents using de-escalation protocols
- Complete detailed incident reports and maintain accurate documentation
- Conduct headcounts and ensure inmate accountability at all times
- Coordinate with law enforcement agencies during emergency situations
- Operate security systems including surveillance cameras and access controls
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Valid Louisiana driver's license
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Basic computer literacy and record-keeping skills
- Physical ability to restrain individuals and work in confined spaces
- Strong communication and conflict resolution abilities
- Experience in security, law enforcement, or corrections (preferred but not required)
- Ability to work rotating night shifts and weekends
