Responsibilities
- Manage high-volume emergency calls during overnight hours (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Accurately assess caller situations and prioritize resource deployment
- Operate computer-aided dispatch (CAD) systems and radio communications
- Provide life-saving instructions to callers until emergency responders arrive
- Maintain detailed incident documentation and compliance records
- Coordinate with regional agencies during multi-jurisdictional incidents
- Participate in continuous training for evolving emergency protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 1 year customer service or call center experience
- Ability to remain calm during critical, high-stress situations
- Proficient typing skills (minimum 40 WPM)
- Valid Oregon driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to pass background check and psychological evaluation
- Strong multitasking and decision-making abilities
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with Windows OS
