Responsibilities
- Manage emergency calls and dispatch appropriate police/fire/EMS units during night shift hours
- Maintain accurate incident documentation and coordinate multi-agency responses
- Operate CAD/RMS systems and radio communication equipment efficiently
- Provide crisis intervention and critical information to first responders
- Monitor surveillance systems and alarm responses for city facilities
- Collaborate with overnight public safety leadership for resource allocation
- Conduct shift briefings and maintain operational readiness
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
- Minimum 2 years dispatch or emergency communications experience
- Valid Arizona Emergency Medical Dispatcher (EMD) certification
- National Crime Information Center (NCIC) certification required
- Ability to work rotating night shifts (10:00 PM - 6:00 AM)
- Proficiency in CAD systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to pass background check and psychological evaluation
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) certification highly desirable
