Responsibilities
- Handle high-volume 911 calls and emergency dispatch during night shifts
- Coordinate with police, fire, and EMS teams using advanced CAD/RMS systems
- Maintain detailed incident documentation and compliance protocols
- Operate multi-channel radio systems and emergency alert platforms
- Perform crisis intervention and provide life-saving instructions to callers
- Collaborate with overnight hospital and utility emergency contacts
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
- Minimum 1 year dispatch/emergency communications experience
- National Emergency Number Association (NENA) certification
- Valid Virginia driver's license and clean record
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts (7 PM - 7 AM)
- Proficiency in CAD/RMS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Pass comprehensive background check and polygraph examination
