Responsibilities
- Monitor city facilities and infrastructure during overnight hours to ensure public safety and operational integrity
- Respond to emergency calls, incidents, and citizen concerns with urgency and professionalism
- Conduct regular patrols of designated areas to deter criminal activity and enforce municipal regulations
- Document incidents, prepare detailed reports, and maintain accurate records of all night shift activities
- Coordinate with law enforcement, fire departments, and other emergency services during critical situations
- Operate specialized equipment including surveillance systems, communication devices, and emergency vehicles
- Provide assistance to citizens during non-business hours for urgent municipal services
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. citizen or legal resident authorized to work in the United States
- Minimum age of 21 years with a valid California driver's license
- High school diploma or GED equivalent; college degree preferred
- Successful completion of background check, drug screening, and physical fitness assessment
- Certification in first aid, CPR, and emergency response procedures required
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions during overnight hours
- Strong communication skills with ability to de-escalate tense situations
- Previous experience in law enforcement, security, or government operations highly valued
