Responsibilities
- Monitor and secure city facilities during overnight hours using advanced surveillance systems
- Conduct regular patrols of assigned properties to prevent unauthorized access
- Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and security breaches
- Prepare detailed incident reports and maintain accurate security logs
- Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency services during critical incidents
- Enforce city ordinances and safety protocols within jurisdiction
- Operate security equipment including access control systems and communication devices
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
- Valid Nebraska security guard license or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Must pass rigorous background check and drug screening
- Minimum 2 years security or law enforcement experience
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to remain calm under pressure during emergency situations
- Excellent written communication and report-writing abilities
- Flexibility to work rotating night shift schedule (10 PM - 6 AM)
