Position Overview:
As an IT Specialist on the Night Shift, you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of our IT infrastructure during off-hours. You will play a critical role in system monitoring, security response, and providing technical support to federal employees ensuring continuous operations.
Responsibilities
- Monitor server health, network traffic, and system performance 24/7 during the night shift.
- Respond to and resolve critical IT incidents and helpdesk tickets with high priority.
- Perform nightly backups, patch management, and system maintenance to ensure data integrity.
- Enforce federal security protocols and access controls to protect sensitive information.
- Collaborate with day-shift teams to hand off unresolved issues and document technical activities.
- Conduct routine hardware inspections and software updates on federal workstations.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in IT support, systems administration, or network engineering.
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Federal background clearance.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and common Office Suite applications.
- Ability to work rotating night shifts and weekends as required by federal operations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience with ITIL framework or similar service management practices is a plus.
