Responsibilities
- Monitor server health, network performance, and system alerts 24/7 during the night shift.
- Provide tier 2 technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
- Perform routine system backups, patch management, and security updates to protect sensitive government data.
- Respond to help desk tickets and resolve critical IT incidents with minimal downtime.
- Collaborate with day-shift teams to document issues and implement long-term solutions.
- Conduct physical security checks for IT server rooms and data centers.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support, help desk, or network administration.
- Must be willing and able to work rotating night shifts (e.g., 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM).
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and network protocols (TCP/IP).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to pass a standard background check and security clearance screening.
