Responsibilities
- Monitor system performance, network traffic, and server health to ensure 99.9% uptime overnight.
- Execute routine security patches, backups, and system updates during low-traffic hours.
- Respond immediately to critical helpdesk tickets and technical incidents escalated during the night shift.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and security compliance checks to meet federal standards (FISMA).
- Maintain accurate documentation of all night shift activities and maintenance logs in the ticketing system.
- Collaborate with day shift teams to hand over status reports and pending technical issues.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent military/technical experience).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Network Operations Center (NOC), Helpdesk, or IT Support role.
- Experience working in a government or federal contracting environment is highly preferred.
- Must be available to work rotating night shifts (e.g., 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM).
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, Windows Server, Linux, and Active Directory.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
