Responsibilities
- Process emergency calls and dispatch appropriate units for police, fire, and medical services
- Maintain accurate records of all communications and incidents in CAD/RMS systems
- Provide clear, concise instructions to callers during critical situations
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during major incidents and disasters
- Monitor radio communications and prioritize emergency traffic
- Perform data entry and generate daily activity reports
- Adhere to strict confidentiality protocols for sensitive information
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum 1 year experience in emergency services or customer service
- Valid California driver's license
- Ability to pass background investigation, polygraph, and psychological evaluation
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Proficient in computer-aided dispatch (CAD) systems
- Ability to remain calm under pressure during high-stress scenarios
- Fluency in English and Spanish preferred
