Responsibilities
- Manage emergency calls (911/311) with precision and empathy during night shifts
- Dispatch police, fire, and medical units using CAD/RMS systems
- Maintain accurate incident documentation and radio communications protocols
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Monitor surveillance systems for proactive threat detection
- Adhere to strict confidentiality and HIPAA/GDPR compliance standards
- Participate in quarterly emergency scenario simulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
- Minimum 2 years dispatch/emergency communications experience
- Valid California POST Public Safety Dispatcher certification
- Ability to multitask in high-stress environments
- Proficiency in CAD/RMS systems and radio protocols
- Clear speaking voice and exceptional situational judgment
- Ability to pass extensive background check and polygraph examination
- Flexibility to work rotating night/weekend shifts
