Responsibilities
- Manage emergency calls during night shifts, dispatching appropriate emergency services
- Maintain accurate logs of incidents and communications using CAD/RMS systems
- Coordinate with law enforcement, fire, and medical agencies during crisis situations
- Provide critical information to first responders and the public during emergencies
- Operate radio communication equipment and maintain contact protocols
- Participate in continuous training for emergency protocols and technology updates
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
- Minimum 1 year of dispatch or customer service experience
- Valid California driver's license
- Ability to pass background check and psychological evaluation
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Proficiency in CAD/RMS systems and multi-tasking in high-pressure environments
- Fluency in English and Spanish highly desirable
