Responsibilities
- Patrol designated city facilities and infrastructure during overnight hours (11 PM - 7 AM)
- Monitor surveillance systems and respond to security alerts with immediate intervention protocols
- Conduct routine safety inspections and document all incidents via digital reporting systems
- Coordinate with emergency services (NYPD, FDNY) during critical incidents
- Maintain detailed activity logs and submit comprehensive shift reports
- Enforce access control procedures for restricted city areas
- Participate in quarterly emergency response simulations and training drills
Qualifications
- Valid New York State Security Guard License (required)
- High school diploma or GED equivalent (minimum requirement)
- Ability to work independently in low-visibility environments
- Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Pass federal background check and drug screening
- Proficiency with surveillance technology and digital reporting tools
- Physical ability to stand/walk for 8+ hours and climb stairs
- Residency in one of the five boroughs (preferred)
