Responsibilities
- Patrol designated areas to deter crime and ensure public safety during overnight hours
- Respond promptly to emergency calls and incidents requiring immediate attention
- Conduct thorough security checks of government facilities and critical infrastructure
- Document incidents with detailed reports using digital systems
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during joint operations
- Monitor surveillance systems to detect suspicious activities
- Provide assistance to citizens and visitors in need during night hours
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. citizen and District of Columbia resident
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
- Valid DC Security Guard License (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Minimum 2 years security or law enforcement experience
- Ability to work independently and make critical decisions under pressure
- Proficient in surveillance technology and digital reporting systems
- Excellent communication skills and ability to de-escalate tense situations
- Must pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
