Responsibilities
- Patrol municipal facilities and perimeters during overnight shifts (10:00 PM - 6:00 AM)
- Monitor surveillance systems and respond to security alarms in real-time
- Enforce access control procedures and verify credentials for all personnel
- Document security incidents and submit detailed daily activity reports
- Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency services during critical situations
- Conduct safety inspections and identify potential security vulnerabilities
- Provide assistance to citizens and employees during off-hours emergencies
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework in criminal justice preferred
- Valid California Guard Card and firearms permit (if required for post)
- Minimum 2 years security or law enforcement experience
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during overnight hours
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail in low-light conditions
- Proficient in using surveillance technology and reporting software
- Ability to pass background check and pre-employment physical
- Valid California driver's license with clean record
