Responsibilities
- Conduct routine patrols of government buildings, parking lots, and grounds to deter crime and ensure a secure environment.
- Monitor and operate security systems, including CCTV, alarms, and access control panels, during off-hours.
- Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, and emergency situations, coordinating with law enforcement and emergency services when necessary.
- Enforce city ordinances and facility rules, ensuring all visitors and employees comply with safety protocols.
- Prepare and maintain detailed incident reports and logs regarding security observations and activities.
- Assist in the evacuation of buildings in the event of fire or other emergencies.
- Verify credentials of personnel and visitors entering restricted government areas.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required; additional security or law enforcement training is a plus.
- Must possess a valid Oklahoma Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to work flexible night shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Strong observation skills and attention to detail are essential.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for report writing and public interaction.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
- Background check and drug screen will be required.
