As a Night Shift Security Officer, you'll be the guardian of public safety during vulnerable evening hours. Your vigilance ensures uninterrupted operations of essential municipal services while maintaining a visible security presence across designated government facilities.
Responsibilities
- Patrol assigned government facilities during overnight hours (10 PM - 6 AM) using modern surveillance systems and foot patrols
- Monitor access control points, verifying credentials and maintaining visitor logs for secure areas
- Respond immediately to security breaches, medical emergencies, and environmental hazards
- Operate CCTV, alarm systems, and communication equipment per government protocols
- Document all incidents, activities, and suspicious behavior in detailed daily reports
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during emergency situations
- Conduct routine equipment checks and facility vulnerability assessments
- Enforce government security policies with professionalism and discretion
Qualifications
- Valid Tennessee Security Guard License or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Minimum 2 years professional security experience in government or high-security environments
- Ability to work independently during overnight shifts with minimal supervision
- Proficient in CCTV operation, access control systems, and emergency response protocols
- Strong observational skills and ability to document incidents accurately
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- US citizenship or legal authorization to work in government facilities
- Ability to pass rigorous background check and security clearance process
