Responsibilities
- Monitor and secure municipal buildings during overnight hours (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Conduct regular patrols and surveillance of assigned government facilities
- Operate security systems including CCTV, access control, and alarm monitoring
- Respond to emergencies and coordinate with law enforcement agencies
- Maintain detailed incident reports and security logs
- Enforce safety protocols and access control procedures
- Provide excellent customer service to late-night visitors and staff
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Kansas Security Guard License (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Minimum 1 year security or law enforcement experience preferred
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong observational and communication skills
- Basic computer proficiency for report writing
- Must pass background check and drug screening
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
