Responsibilities
- Monitor facility security and inmate activities during overnight shifts
- Conduct regular patrols and surveillance to maintain safety protocols
- Respond to emergencies and incidents following established procedures
- Document incidents and maintain accurate shift reports
- Collaborate with day-shift teams for seamless operations
- Enforce state regulations and departmental policies
- Provide first aid and crisis intervention when needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid Florida Driver's License
- Ability to work rotating night shifts (11 PM - 7 AM)
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Basic computer proficiency for report documentation
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Physical ability to perform security duties
- Preferred: 1 year security or law enforcement experience
